Kiosk hardware

Recommended kiosk hardware.

If your venue doesn't have a suitable computer for the kiosk, this is the setup we recommend.

No Send-It markup. You buy straight from the retailer, at the retailer's price. We earn from your monthly subscription, not from your kiosk.

Already have a computer?

It can run the kiosk if it has:

  • At least 8 GB of memory
  • A processor with hardware video encoding
  • Any drive: it doesn't need an SSD

The kiosk software is light. In our tests, a 2017 Core i3 laptop ran three cameras for an hour using about 12% of its processor. We'll check your computer against your number of cameras before installation.

Prices checked on and may have changed: you pay the retailer's price on the day you order. Links go straight to each retailer's product page, with no affiliate tracking. These are South African retailers; outside South Africa, use the list as a guide to buy locally.

Questions

Before you request a quote.

How is the price worked out?
Software is a monthly fee per court. Padel is R1 000 month-to-month, R900 on a 12-month contract or R800 on 24 months; other sports are R800, R700 or R600. Hardware and installation are once-off and the same for every sport. The calculator gives a budget estimate, and we confirm an itemised quote after reviewing your venue. Prices are subject to market change.
Do I need my own cameras or streaming software?
No. Send-It ships as a complete package — cameras, replay buttons, the kiosk software, networking and livestream setup are all included. The kiosk runs on your venue's computer or on our recommended kiosk hardware.
Do you install outside South Africa?
Not on site. Outside South Africa, we supply the approved hardware and installation manual, your local installer does the physical work, and we commission the system remotely. Shipping and import duties are quoted separately.
Can we use our own computer for the kiosk?
Yes, if it has at least 8 GB of memory and a processor with hardware video encoding. It doesn't need an SSD. We'll check the spec with you before installation. If you need a new computer, our recommended kiosk hardware comes to R8 687 at the retailer's price (checked 9 October 2026), and you buy it straight from the retailer.
Can players control the scoreboard themselves?
Yes. Scorers access the controls via a QR code or one-time password and update the score from any phone or tablet.
Where does the livestream go?
Straight to YouTube, started from the on-court kiosk — no laptop or production crew required.
Does Send-It work for sports other than padel?
Yes. Padel is our flagship, and we now support pickleball, tennis, squash, five-a-side and indoor cricket. The same cameras, replay button, kiosk and scoreboard are used, and placement is planned around your venue.
Is pricing different per sport?
Only the monthly software: it costs less for sports other than padel. Once-off hardware and installation are the same for every sport, and the cost calculator on our pricing page shows the figures for your venue.
Can one system cover a mixed venue?
Yes. One controller runs up to 29 courts, so padel and pickleball courts, for example, can share the same setup.
Where do the camera and button go?
It depends on the sport and layout. We review your venue and confirm placement before quoting.
