Livestream guide

The livestream scoreboard flow.

Match day runs on a simple role split: staff initialize the stream and scoreboard session at the kiosk, then players or scorers run live scoring from a phone or tablet.

Club kiosk

Staff initialize and hand over access

  • Map an optional commentary microphone before starting the stream.
  • Start the YouTube stream for the correct court.
  • Enable Include Scoreboard Overlay (OTP + QR).
  • Select the correct scoreboard sport type.
  • Provide the active QR code or OTP to players at the kiosk.

Players / scorer

Players access and run live scoring

  • Ask the kiosk team for the live court QR code or OTP.
  • Open controls by scanning the QR code or entering the OTP.
  • Update points live and use Undo if needed.
  • Confirm the live overlay updates after a test score action.

Before you start

Prepare the court card first.

Open Streams and initialize the court streams before starting YouTube. If streams are already running, use Refresh Streams and wait until the correct court card shows a camera preview.

  • Confirm the correct club and court are selected in the kiosk app.
  • Confirm the camera preview is visible for the court.
  • Plug in the commentary microphone before stream start if live commentary is needed.
  • Players only need the active QR code or OTP for scoreboard access.

01 / Optional microphone setup

Map one commentary microphone to the court.

In Manage Stream Maps, staff can enable microphone access and select a Commentary microphone for the court mapping. This is optional: if no microphone is mapped, the livestream continues with the camera stream audio only.

  • Send-It supports one optional commentary microphone per court/stream.
  • If a club needs multiple physical microphones, mix them externally and present the mixed feed as one USB-C/input device.
  • The same microphone cannot be assigned to multiple mappings at the same time.

02 / Club kiosk

Initialize stream and scoreboard.

In the desktop app, staff click the YouTube button for the court, enter the match description and duration, enable the scoreboard overlay, choose the sport, and start the stream. If a microphone is mapped for this court, Send-It starts that commentary microphone as part of the YouTube stream.

03 / Live commentary

Monitor the microphone during the stream.

Once the court stream is running, the stream card shows a Commentary panel. Staff can monitor input level and adjust minimum input volume, input gain, and commentary delay. If the mapped microphone is unavailable, the app reports that and camera audio continues.

04 / Handoff

Publish access at the kiosk.

After stream start, the desktop app shows the scoreboard OTP and lets staff open or copy the scoreboard link. Keep this available so players can access the active scoreboard quickly.

05 / Players

Open controls on a phone or tablet.

Players scan the active QR code. If scanning is unavailable, they open the match scoreboard entry page, enter the 4-digit OTP, and open the controls.

06 / Live scoring

Run scoring during match play.

In Match Scoreboard, the scorer updates points while monitoring the overlay preview. Padel controls include Team A/B point buttons, Undo, Reset Match, tie-break handling, and sport-specific rule options.

  • Use Undo immediately after an accidental point.
  • Use Reset Match only when the match should restart.
  • Set advanced format controls before the first point whenever possible.
  • If scoring already started with the wrong rules, click Reset Match before changing rule settings.

Padel tie-breaks

Normal set tie-break

  • Set the tie-break settings before the first point.
  • Use Start Tie-break if the control page has not already entered tie-break scoring when the set reaches the configured tie-break point.
  • Score tie-break points with + Point Team A/B.
  • A normal 7-point tie-break should be won by 2.

Padel match format

Two sets plus 10-point decider

  • Set Final Set Mode to Super Tie-break before the first point.
  • Set Tie-break Target to 10.
  • If each team wins one set, continue with + Point Team A/B in the deciding tie-break.
  • The deciding tie-break is won at 10 points with a 2-point lead.

Troubleshooting

Common match-day fixes.

If no QR appears, the stream was likely started without Include Scoreboard Overlay (OTP + QR). Stop and restart with the overlay enabled. If an OTP does not work, use the newest QR or OTP from the active stream session. If controls say disconnected, wait for reconnection; if it does not reconnect, reopen the QR or OTP link. If the microphone is unavailable, return to Mappings, refresh microphones, reselect the mic, and save the mapping. If the wrong rules were selected, use Reset Match and adjust Format and Rule Options before scoring again. If a score action was wrong, use Undo immediately after the incorrect action.

Club kiosk complete when...

  • The stream is live for the correct court.
  • If commentary is needed, exactly one microphone is mapped to that court and the Commentary panel is listening.
  • The scoreboard overlay is enabled with the correct sport selected.
  • Players can receive the active QR code or OTP from the kiosk.

Players complete when...

  • The phone or tablet is connected to Match Scoreboard.
  • A test score action updates the overlay immediately.
  • The scorer knows where Undo and Reset Match are before the match starts.
